GENDERACTIONplus appointed its first members of the Advisory Board. The AB will consist of 5 experts and/or stakeholders, reflecting project values, priorities, key topic areas and target audiences. We are happy that our invitation to become GENDERACTIONplus AB members accepted Sergej Mozina, the co-chair of the ERA Forum, Yvonne Benschop from Radboud University, Adrien Braem, Senior Policy Officer, responsible for ERA policies and gender and diversity at Science Europe and Jörg Müller from the Open University of Catalonia and a member of our Horizon Europe sister project INSPIRE focused on research and analysis on inclusive gender equality in research and innovation. We are still waiting for one confirmation. Wish us luck!
Two communities of practice (CoPs) will work on advancing gender equality in the European Research Area in GENDERACTIONplus project. The work of policy CoP consisted of representatives of national authorities is organised through WP topics. The RFO CoP will create Working Groups that will focus on key topics identified by CoP members. At the end of August, the RFO CoP Working Groups (WG) leaders were appointed: Jana Dvořáčková, Technology Agency CR, CZ: WG Gender dimension in R&I Emer Cahill, Irish Research Council, IE: WG Bias in the R&I funding process Paola Bello, Regional Foundation for Biomedical Research, ITA: WG Promoting Institutional Change Ingeborg Owesen, Research Council of Norway, NO: WG Intersectionality and Inclusiveness The RFO CoP brings together 51 members, expert partners and allied partners.
The GENDERACTIONplus project builds on the Horizon 2020 project GENDERACTION implemented from 2017 to 2021, the work of the Standing Working Group on Gender in Research and Innovation (SWG GRI) and the work of the FORGEN Community of Practice of RFOs developed in the ACT project implemented 2018 to 2021.
